I know what you mean, there are blues influences everywhere in music. I guess what I was trying to say, I don’t really like your ‘typical’ distinctive blues sound, the songs that are always that 12 bar repetition, I find it monotonous. Although popular music has drawn its roots from blues, you can’t really tell. I’m probably making no sense! In a nutshell, I hate songs like ‘walking the dog’ and I love Damien rice.
