I "started big" (didn't even learn the "little F"), and believe me, it helped out in the long run! It's a little tricky at first, but in a few months, it will be no problem, and will be a big help when you get ready to do barre chords further up the neck! Get that "Big F" shape down, and you'll be able to play any other major chord further up the neck with that same shape! It’s a little tricky at first, but in a few months, it will be no problem, and will be a big help when you get ready to do barre chords further up the neck!

Get that “Big F” shape down, and you’ll be able to play any other major chord further up the neck with that same shape! Just don’t overdo yourself, it’ll be tough at first, but not for long :)
