Are there any websites that offer guitar lessons online?

I’ve been playing the electric guitar for about 6 months now, but I’m not as good as I want to be. I was wondering are there any websites or maybe even a few e-books out there that offer lessons?

Where would i find online guitar lessons/videos for someone who has NEVER played a guitar in there life?

Well its a lie i have played it before, but sadly forgot, and i need to start from scratch… I don’t know where all the notes are, have no clue how to strum the strings at all, i just need some help please haha

try shopping on amazon.com for dvds. i go there for almost everything. a few years back i went on for a few bass guitar dvds and they had them. they’ll probably have them for regular guitar too.

i have two guitars already, but never really learned to play them..just few songs here and there, but i want to actually take up learning to play it the right way so i can get better and understand the chords and what not, so does anyone know of any online lessons i can purchase for someone just starting out. thank you

There are a lot of lessons you can find on YouTube. Depending on what kind of stuff you want to learn, just type it in. For example, "how to strum guitar". Or, "blues guitar tutorial." You’re bound to find a lot!

Or, you can type the same stuff into Google and you’ll find a bunch of webpages too.

Online guitar lessons or a real teacher?

I was wondering if it is a good idea to use online guit guitar lessons like you might find on Youtube or on the internet in general or would a real live teacher be a better idea. Also if anyone could give me suggestions on any beginner cords i should start with I would appriciate it. Thanks so much

i would recommend an online site, because a teacher will end up being pretty expensive in the long run. There are many free sites out there, but the problem with those is that they are very disorganized, and its hard to pace your self. I would recommend a guitar instruction course that you pay for, because the lessons are more organized, and the instruction is of a higher quality. Ill post a few link to some sights I recommend, and they are fairly priced considering the amount of work the creators put into making the lessons, and also they are cheaper that having a private teacher.
