i was doing blues on snowboard by the 2nd afternoon decently, snowboarding and skiing are both fun, even when its your first time. The learning curve is definitely steeper at first for snowboarding but once you can start linking basic turns, its soo fun, especially on powder.

uhm? as far as Ive been told and allways been doing, the “up and down” movement should be forced by you switching the direction of the skis when exiting a turn. its really nothing you should “provoke” yourself…if u hit a bump when doing that motion at high speed ur ed! your feet will then not absorb the impact correctly into your hip and, well…goodbye:P

Neither one is better, it all depends on your personal preference. Obviously, skiers are going to say skiing is better and riders are going to say snowboarding is better. I’m a snowboarder, but I can respect the refined skills of a good skier. I’ve been told that snowboarding is harder to learn but after the basics, one can improve a lot faster. Versus skiing which is easier to learn but harder to become very good at. (I think it is because skiing takes a lot of technique in posture and style)
